Analisis Kesalahan Bahasa dalam Kegiatan Pidato dengan Materi Moderasi Beragama di STIBA Ar-Raayah Sukabumi

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of speaking skills in Arabic language learning, particularly through students’ speech activities as a medium for strengthening Religious Moderation education at STIBA Ar-Raayah Sukabumi. In practice, speech activities still reveal various linguistic errors that may affect message clarity and the accuracy of standard Arabic usage. The research problems focus on identifying common language errors in students’ speeches, analyzing the factors that cause these errors, and proposing corrective strategies to reduce linguistic inaccuracies. This study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive-analytical method. The data consist of students’ oral speech performances collected through observation, audio recording, transcription, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted using error analysis techniques, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with emphasis on phonological, morphological, syntactic, and semantic aspects. The findings indicate that speech activities play a significant role in developing students’ speaking skills; however, frequent errors are still observed, such as mispronunciation of Arabic letters, incorrect vowel lengthening, confusion between masculine and feminine forms, grammatical structure errors, as well as interference from the mother tongue and psychological factors. The study concludes that linguistic errors can be reduced through systematic correction, structured language development programs, and continuous practice of correct Arabic expressions, thereby enhancing students’ overall speaking competence.
