Pendidikan Karakter Menurut KH. Hasyim Asy’ari: Telaah Kitab At-Tibyan
Abstract
This article explores the thoughts of KH. Hasyim Asy’ari on character education through an in-depth study of Kitab At-Tibyan fi Adabi Hamalati al-Qur’an. Amidst the ongoing moral crisis in education, KH. Hasyim Asy’ari offers a concept of character education that emphasizes sincerity, respect for teachers, responsibility, and humility as core values in the learning process. This study employs a qualitative approach using library research by analyzing classical texts and supporting literature. The findings reveal that the values embedded in At-Tibyan are not only relevant but also essential for developing modern character education curricula. KH. Hasyim Asy’ari’s teachings significantly contribute to shaping a generation that is not only intellectually capable but also morally grounded and resilient in facing contemporary global challenges.
